In the past, in fact, Barbera was more renowned and prestigious than Nebbiolo for Barolo, therefore the best positions were reserved exactly to it. The optimal and uncommon exposure of this vineyard allows the berries to reach a complete and uniform ripening. The white calcareous soil gives fragrance and at the same time structure to the wine. Acidity more than balanced gives it a strong but gentle character and that characteristic which strikes you at once.
