Ca’ del Baio is a typical family concern in which all the members contribute - in their different roles - to the complex running of the business. Constant progress made since the beginning of the new millennium has led to the company competing on markets throughout the world, and carving out a position of considerable importance in Barbaresco within what has become an appellation of global prestige.
The Grasso family’s deep roots in wine farming in the Langa are represented today by the fourth generation, Giulio and Luciana. Along with their daughters - Paola, Valentina and Federica - they dedicate great care and expertise to running all the various areas of the business, from agronomics to marketing their wines in many countries throughout the world. Wines of consistent quality guaranteed by simplicity, a sense of sacrifice and a strong attachment to the land.
The Ca’ del Baio story started out on this very vineyard, on one of the best-known Crus in the Langa, and this elegant, refined wine encapsulates to perfection the precious fruit grown on our oldest vines
Our most traditional-style Barbaresco is grown on the vineyards that surround the winery, and is aged - as in the past - only in big casks. It represents the elegance of Barbaresco at its very best, without flaunting the muscle of Nebbiolo Il Barbaresco Secondo Cà del Baio
This wine comes from the assemblage of different vineyards, creating a fresh that exhibits strong, but soft Barbera characteristic
A fresh, easy-drinking Nebbiolo of the kind the variety is capable of producing on younger vineyards where care is taken over the ripening of the grapes. Obtained by selecting grapes from several different vineyards, it revives a never-forgotten tradition
