The Cabutto family is a well-known producer of Barolo wine. The history of this company dates back to the second decade of the last century, when the founder Domenico Cabutto bought the farmstead of Volta, from Marquis Gastone di Mirafiori, cadet nephew of Vittorio Emanuele II, King of Italy.
Cabutto, its name is synonymous with its estate vineyards. More than 20 hectares of vines mainly located in the best plots of the Langhe, a region dedicated to the production of the D.O.C.G. Barolo, destined to a single purpose: making wine from grapes from different hills and expositions, which bring up a unique peculiarity to the final product, our traditional Barolo.
Attention to quality, research and the study of the organoleptic characteristics of the soil, give life to a wine that conveys the true varietal character of the grape in all its purity and refinement. Our family has been taking care of the whole production process since the beginning – from collecting the grapes from several vineyards to the macerations, which takes from 25 to 30 days, and the ageing of the wine in medium to large barrels made of Slavonian oak.
We have always believed in the importance of the terroir and dedicated all our attention and care to every aspect of making an excellent wine, one that could represent the peculiarities of the region and make the name of Barolo well-known all over the world.
